JARI and IRT SystemX alliance to accelerate research around the safety of autonomous vehicles

The Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI) and the IRT-SystemX have launched an international research collaboration to address the major challenges related to autonomous vehicle safety assurance.
The common objective of the collaboration is to develop and to share a common repository for the management of scenarios that can be applied to conduct the safety evaluation.
The long-term ambition is to jointly contribute to a safer and global autonomous vehicle society.
This collaboration reinforces the exchanges already initiated between the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) and the French Autonomous Vehicle Program (PFA) and confirms the joint Franco-Japanese research and development efforts in the field.
