SAKURA Scenario Database

In Autonomous vehicle development, an enormous number of tests must be performed to evaluate the safety of Autonomous Driving systems. To improve its efficiency, tools for managing an enormous of test scenarios and the results of safety evaluations are needed.
In the SAKURA project, we are working on the development of the Scenario Database, which is the tool that supports the safety evaluation of autonomous driving.

Introduction of SAKURA Scenario Database

Dashboard

As a function of "Project", manage the project which is a unit for managing evaluation scenarios for each development vehicle.

Scenario Library

As a function of "Scenario Library", the scenarios used in the evaluation of AD / ADAS vehicles such as the scenario system and the ADAS assessment scenario are shown. (The scenario system is built on the basis of the three physical principles (perception, judgment, operation) necessary to perform the dynamic driving tasks of SAE level 3 or higher autonomous vehicles.)

Traffic Data

As a function of "Traffic Data", the distribution data and estimated data in actual traffic acquired in the SAKURA research project are shown.

Pass/Fail Criteria

As a function of "Pass/Fail Criteria", UNR157 ALKS C&C Driver Model data that can be confirmed by Test Result is calculated with parameters according to the vehicle size.

Test Specification

As a function of "Test Specification", design a parameter range (Logical Scenario) to be tested for the scenario defined in the Scenario Library.

Test Plan

As a function of "Test Plan", generation and management of Test Plan, which is a unit for performing virtual evaluation by Simulation. Also, assign the Test Specification to be executed to the Test Plan.

Test Result

This function displays simulation result of test scenario created by Test Plan.
